Module 6 · Deliver

Managing the client during the build

Lesson 19 of 23 · 4 min read

During the build, your job is not to do anything. It is to keep the client confident. Silence makes clients nervous; a few well-timed updates make you look like a pro.

  • Set expectations on day one: "first look in about a week, live in two to three."
  • Send one proactive update mid-build, even just "design is underway, looking great."
  • Funnel all feedback through you. You are the single point of contact, always.
  • Present everything as yours. Say "here is the first look," never "the studio sent this."
Clients do not pay for activity; they pay for certainty. Be the calm, organized point of contact and they will happily pay you again.

This is the part most people skip.

The lessons are free. The delivery is the hard part, and that's ours. When you're ready to put a client's site in front of a real studio, book a call.
