Launch, the reveal, and the handoff
Launch is a moment. Handled flat ("site is live, let me know if you see issues"), it spends none of the goodwill you just earned. Handled well, it converts one finished project into a care plan that sticks, a referral, and the next sale.
The launch checklist (non-negotiable)
- Domain pointed, SSL live, www and non-www both resolving.
- Every form submitted and received, on desktop and phone. The lead notification arrives where the client will actually see it.
- Analytics recording, search console verified, sitemap submitted.
- Redirects from every old URL that mattered, so existing rankings and bookmarks survive.
- Phone numbers tappable, map correct, hours current.
- Final balance invoiced and paid BEFORE the domain flips. The site going live is the leverage; do not give it away.
This checklist is a skill in the resources library, and your agent runs it before you do your own pass. Two layers, zero drama launches.
The reveal
Deliver the live site on a short call or a recorded video, not a bare link. Walk them through it the way you would show a house: "Here is what happens when a customer lands. Here is the click-to-call. Here is where your reviews sell for you. Here is the form landing in your inbox." You are teaching them what they bought, which is the difference between a client who says "looks nice" and a client who says "this is going to get us jobs."
The handoff that starts the next sale
- Confirm the care plan out loud: "From here I host, maintain, and improve it. Anything you want changed, drop it in your portal and it is usually done in a couple of days." Show them the portal request flow live, once.
- Tell them about the report before the first one arrives: "First week of every month you will get a short report: visitors, calls, leads. You will always know what the site is doing for you."
- Ask the referral question at the peak: "Who else do you know that needs this?" (Module 10 makes this systematic.)
- Plant the next seed, lightly: "Once we have a month of data, I will tell you what I would improve next." That sentence is where SEO retainers and content packages are born.
The course is free. So is the platform.
Everything in these lessons runs on the Agency Label platform: clients, requests, the portal, reporting, invoicing, all on the free tier. Create the account when you're ready, or book a call if you want to talk through your setup or white-label delivery.
